Creation

The opening chapter of Genesis reveals the power, order, and beauty of God’s creative work. In these verses, light emerges from darkness, form from chaos, and life from the spoken Word of God. This book is a visual companion to Genesis 1, pairing selected Bible verses with original artwork to encourage reflection, wonder, reverence, and awe for the Creator. Moving through the creation account in its biblical sequence, the images invite the reader to pause and contemplate the majesty of God as revealed in Scripture—not to replace the text, but to serve as a visual meditation alongside it. The artwork follows the ordered pattern of creation described in Genesis, depicting the forming of sky, sea, and land, the filling of those spaces with light, life, and abundance, and the creation of humanity in the image of God. Verses from elsewhere in the Bible are woven throughout, celebrating the splendor of the natural world, the richness of God’s provision, and the wonder of human life. As creation began with God’s spoken Word, so too does new life begin through our confession in response to His grace.
