Gathering Words: Thoughts on Writing for Jesus creates an atmosphere that invites an author into the writing experience. Central to that experience are two things: the dynamic interplay between Jesus as the Word and an author’s words; and the writing that freely unfolds from that interplay, each word, sentence, and page glorifying Jesus. The joy-releasing presence of Jesus is the intended feel of the book, shaped by 366 three-line, rhymed verses. The rhyming is meant to engage authors in a playful, free-flowing, musical way; the melodies and harmonies crafted to lift them up and out of a taken-for-granted method of writing about Jesus, and draw them into participating with Jesus in a fresh way of writing for him.
