This is not a commercial product and has a long family history, unlike other sourdough starters you can purchase on amazon this contains no commercial yeast and is a truly artisan product This sourdough starter has been in our family for generations and has produced thousands of loafs over the years. We only use the best artisinal flour to produce this starter and it is packaged as soon as it has dried out. To care for this sourdough starter once its revived (full instructions in the pack) you simply must feed it a ratio of 1-1-1 (starter, water, flour) discarding or re using any left over sourdough starter.
