The Rainbow Brigade is here to help! This group of dogs led by Nubby-Bean brings smiles, joy, and hope to people going through difficult times, whether it’s dealing with a new baby sibling, a best friend moving away, or the loss of a parent. Nani’s very best friend is moving away. She is sad and afraid they won’t be friends anymore. When Nubby-Bean and the Rainbow Brigade appear at Nani’s door, they show her that the world is filled with friends, and when someone moves away, it doesn’t mean you lose them. Does Nani agree with the Rainbow Brigade? Dr. Sheila Cooperman is a retired English Language Arts teacher with a PhD in Literacy. She invariably turns to writing to express either her love or ache with issues stemming from losing both her mothers, having children, dealing with divorce, and more recently coping with the death of her Boykin Spaniel.
