AESOP’S FABLES RETOLD

Aesop's Fables is a rich collection of timeless short stories that children find delightful, amusing and informative. They convey lessons that children instinctively relate to and learn from. This edition expands on the moral at the end of each and is preceded by quotations which help to crystallise the rich lessons that are contained in each story. They work well as stories which parents, guardians and teachers can use to discuss lessons they want to impart to children. The list of morals is neither definitive nor exhaustive. Some parents will no doubt find other lessons in the fables. Whatever the lesson, the fables provide an excellent opportunity to not just tell a story but more importantly communicate specific lessons to our children and encourage character development. These stories also work well as early readers for children as the language is not complex.
