Based on Olive Sharkey's Ways of Old, this new addition to the O'Brien 'Heritage Series' will draw the reader back to a time when people were much more tuned into the rhythm of the year and the ground beneath their feet. Olive Sharkey comes from a farming family in the Irish midlands. She has worked as an architect's draftsperson, and after her marriage began writing and drawing and contributing to newspapers and magazines. Her other interests include natural history and photography.
