I adored the characters, plot, and the obvious research that has gone into crafting this book. The climax was brilliant. A bittersweet ending to what was a thrilling ride. Writing this book was a cathartic experience that I needed in order to move forward in life. I was going through a very hard time, I had battled with substance abuse and alcoholism as well as being left by my ex-fiancé not long before I started writing. Things were bleak for me at the time, and I needed to do something. This book is that something. I poured all of my negativity, stress, anger and sadness into this book and when it was all said and done, I had become a different and better person. For me, this book is so much more than a creative endeavor; it was a means to save my own life. Brian Melgar was born to an Honduran father and a Salvadorean mother in Los Angeles. From an early age, he was engrossed in creative endeavors and spent more time reading than doing much of anything else. He's dedicated his life to appreciating great writing and aspiring to create it as well.
