She and her husband, who is her advocate, have continuously been forced to fight for proper treatment for this rare disease. Her experience and connections revealed a collective of patients who have been ignored, dismissed and vilified by the ignorance of the medical community. Working to further the awareness of Addison’s disease, she hopes to bring recognition of the disease through continual communication and education.
