This book is about expression, devotion, and the space in between. Moreso, a meditation on what it feels like to experience absolutely everything all the time and the lack of one's ability to compress that into twenty five pages. In lieu of the brevity, this collection of poems is a dip into the mind of a girl who has not stopped thinking, not for one second in her entire life. This is about understanding what lies beneath us and inside of us as the only living species capable of this much creativity and mental anguish, alike. Aria Makan is a South Asian writer and poet. She is the author of a poetry collection titled Muffins for My Psychiatrist. She is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin minoring in English, hoping to flourish her love for poetry and share her ideas with the world.
