What happens when two people are forced to make difficult choices because of the adults in their life, what will they choose. Xue Yume, is a twenty year old women born and raised in a distant village in the nation of Seres, she lives a quiet life where she would rather spend her days watching the relationships between all kinds of people develop and change than get involved herself, yet she always feels like the world around her is a play on stage, with people taking on shifting roles in different story lines, like she can't relate to anyone outside of watching. Liang Seres, is a young man of twenty two, born into the lap of luxury as the first son of the emperor, though despite this seemingly easy life he is haunted by the unseen specters of abuse and illness. Living his life as the prince who must soon leave the palace to support his younger brothers ascension to the throne, and now he must establish a new noble family, though with a timeline that keeps speeding up he needs to use underhanded tactics and politics to ensure his goals can be met in time. Two souls desperate for something are forced to use each other in hopes of keeping their separate worlds together, though with the choices made by those around them they both have to keep making more and more drastic decisions which will shape the rest of their lives both together and apart. Through feelings of trauma and disassociation, how can two young adults try to make up for the twisted world around them. In this flower garden a story unfolds of lies, betrayal, desperation, and ideals, all with the faint smell of irises.
