In March of 2025, noted Sasquatch researcher and wilderness tracker Ray Harwood led a horseback expedition deep into the rugged, isolated regions of northern Montana , seeking not just the elusive creature itself, but a dramatic kind of physical encounter: to rope and tag a Sasquatch, cowboy-style — much like the frontier-era legends of cowboys lassoing wild grizzlies for zoos or science.
