This book contains technical information about the golf club fitting process for amateur golfers and insights for selecting and buying new and used golf equipment. Information is provided for all golf clubs including drivers, fairway metals, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters. Information about testing and selecting golf balls is also provided. In addition, the selection of golf instructors and use of golf launch monitors is discussed. Tips for the care and maintenance of golf clubs is also provided. This is the third edition of this book that was first published in 2022 and revised in 2023. I received valuable feedback from master golf club fitters, Professional Golf Association (PGA) professional golfers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and amateur golfers on the previous editions. These comments and feedback have improved the content of this book significantly. Innovation continues to advance golf equipment technology and development. I have added new information on fitting irons for optimizing stopping power on approach shots to the green, golf shaft technologies and design, fitting putters “by instruction”, and selecting a golf ball to improve your game.
