The Mimic and the Bard
A Mimic (a monster who takes the shape of objects like a violin) one day finds itself taken by a musician. This musician, or bard, is soon to be dinner, till he plays the mimic, thinking it a normal violin. The music moves the monster and for the first time ever, it feels emotions. Slowly, the mimic grows attached to the bard, but never to be theirs, or maybe not. This is a tale similar to Romeo and Juliet with a wild twist.
