Her interviews include descendants of Eklutna Alex (1865-1952). These resonating and powerful voices trace the history of the Athabascan village of Eklutna from its founding to its successful acquisition of thousands of acres of land with the passage of the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. The book is updated in 2025 with a new chapter on Modern Eklutna.
