When we last saw her, Eve Dubois had finally left her life as a small town stripper and, through trials and tribulations, taken her rightful place as queen of the Free Fae along with their sibling, Luna. However, all is not happily ever after for Eve. When war threatens her kingdom, she is left with a choice. She can betray her own heart and her lover, Moss, and betroth herself to Prince Evan, her ex boyfriend who broke her heart because she wouldn't drop her claim to her throne, or she can watch as her kingdom is attacked by Raith, Evan's cruel and heartless but gorgeous cousin. Eve's boyfriend, Moss, who she considers her one true love is still missing, having left to help save Eve's kingdom and leave her free to marry Evan. She's forced to move in with Evan in his fancy Garden District home so that they can try and rekindle the love they once had before Evan's jealousy and insecurity got the best of him. To make matters worse, Raith manages to kidnap Eve in an attempt to lure the other fae rulers to come to her rescue and to offer his own hand in marriage. Kept in a gator fishing shack deep in the swamps, Eve begins to wonder if the others will come for her or will Evan try to keep her kidnapping a secret out of embarrassment that his powerful kingdom couldn't even keep his potential bride safe. Then there's Raith with his evil but hypnotic beauty and terrifying secret power that could spell disaster for the rest of the fae courts and Eve herself. Will Eve's sibling and Evan come to rescue Eve? Will Moss ever return to her? Will she really have to marry Prince Evan or will she remain trapped in the swamp unless she gives in to Raith and his desires that are becoming harder and harder to deny?
