Tung Oil is fast drying and provides a matte protective finish for a variety of wood surfaces. This natural oil wood sealer is ideal for creating an antique style finish on furniture or as a food grade cutting board oil. Thinning with a natural compound helps the oil penetrate deeper into the material. The 1 to 1 or 50/50 ratio works great all-around for most surfaces like new raw wood, butcher block countertops, cutting boards, concrete, wood floors, and unfinished furniture. This finish is also food contact safe! Waterproof and Color Stable Dark Half is color stable and does not darken over time like other oils such as linseed. It does not blister, or go rancid. This natural finish does take 7 to 10 days to develop water resistance and a full 30 days for a complete cure. Coverage 16 oz. covers 50 sq. feet 32 oz. covers 100 sq. feet Gallon covers 400 sq. feet Example: 1 Gallon will do 1 coat on a 400 sq. foot surface.
