The Tears I've Cried: Even When You Can’t See It, He’s Working

I invite you to take a brief look into my life. As a small child, I asked God to save me! My mother told me that I wrote those words in an old Bible she owned years ago. I am so grateful that through everything I've gone through, God didn't give up on me. I wasn't worth the shoes I wore, but He saw something in me that I still haven't figured out. He thought I was worth saving and I can never thank Him enough. As a teenager, I was gullible, naive, and sometimes, just stupid! I remained depressed a lot and often felt alone in this world. I made many mistakes during my life, some of which I am too ashamed to discuss. I was raised in a one-parent home and that created a void inside of me. I longed to have a relationship with my father and was not afforded the opportunity. I didn't feel complete and searched for love in all the wrong people. My father’s thoughts and opinions weighed heavily upon me as a teenager, and it caused me to have sleepless nights and make some bad, life-altering decisions. I couldn't get a grip for some reason. I knew I needed help but didn't know where to find it. Thank God that's no longer the case. I have learned the hard way, but I am grateful for the knowledge and wisdom I've acquired over the years. The road was a long, arduous one, but God! I am so thankful and, of course, grateful for His grace. God has changed my outlook on life and my heart. I am a living testimony of God keeping me in my right mind after all I have had to endure. As you read the pages of my story, you will understand the fight I fought and won. Today, I can truly say I am glad and grateful to be among the living because His will for my life is what I want to live. I love the Lord and the saints and people I've had the pleasure of meeting. He has made such a difference in my life and has allowed others to see just some of what He sees in me. Now, I understand my purpose and why God chose me.
