The Skeg Safe Guard adds a protective barrier to your Skeg, preventing hidden debris under the water from scratching the battens and minimising damage from everyday on-water activities Fit for Yamaha 2 Stroke 150HP 175HP 200HP(HPDI & VMAX HPDI), 4 Stroke 150HP 175HP 200HP(2.8L I-4) 300HP 350HP and I/O Outboard Models The Skeg Protector Guard is crafted from 316 stainless steel with a fine mirror-polished surface to ensure it fits perfectly on your Skeg To install, you simply leave 2 to 3 inches of the original skewer in place, align the keel cover guards with the tail fin, tap gently with a rubber mallet until it fits perfectly, drill the holes with a 1/4-inch drill bit, and install the stainless steel hardware When you are installing, please wear gloves to avoid scratching yourself or others

Installation Steps:

1. Put on gloves to ensure safety

2. Make sure the keel guard model is the same as the skewer plate on the engine model

3. Flatten any spikes or jagged edges on the keel guard to allow the keel guard to fit easily over the tail fins

4. Tap gently with a rubber mallet until the fit is perfect

5. Using the pre-drilled mounting holes, drill the holes with a 1/4-inch drill bit and then install the hardware using the hex wrench provided in the package
