I am not sure how they stay in place, as they do not go into the ear canal, or hang over the ear, they just kind of rest there. However they have stayed in place all night. If you have a soft pillow they will probably be comfortable. I only wear one at a time, and begin the night with it in my "upper" ear. I find myself if I turn I will place my hand under/around my ear. These do not always stay in while I am walking about, so I only use them at night. They are a hard plastic which is surprisingly comfortable. They are fine for audio books or sleep apps. They synced with my phone with no problem. The battery I charge days and use 2 nights with no problem.
