In 2500 B.C., Bel Nimrod was the King of Babylonia. He was the son of Kush (Biblical Cush). Nimrod wanted to be the king of the Earth and the Heavens. To achieve his greatness Nimrod needed to construct a tower so big and tall that it would connect Earth with the Heavens so he could kill God and become the king-god of both Heavens and Earth. For that reason, he invited everyone to Babylonia to work on building the Great Tower. Maniton was Nimrod’s teacher. Maniton practiced sorcery and magi. He could cure people with herbs and potions or he could kill people with spells and poison. For that, people feared him. Hayk was the son of Torgom (Biblical Togarmah). Hayk and his brothers were homeschooled by their parents. Hayk and his brothers worked hard to do their chors and worshipped the God of the Heavens, who created the Earth and the Heavens. Hayk asked Torgom’s permission to go work on the Great Tower that would connect Earth with the Heavens. Torgom took Hayk to Babylonia and Hayk stayed there to participate in the construction of the great tower that would connect the Earth with the Heavens. Many people worked on this project for many years until the Tower of Babel collapsed due to faulty construction killing many people. After the Tower of Babel collapsed, Hayk with his sons and daughters and his in-laws wanted to return to his father’s land. Nimrod had other plans for the human resources he had at his disposal in Babylonia. Therefore, Nimrod placed everyone in his service as infantrymen and as cavalrymen. One day, when Nimrod was out of Babylonia, Hayk and his three hundred men with their families left Babylonia and went to Hayk’s homeland. Bel Nimrod got upset when he heard about Hayk’s insolence and desertion; however, he had more important matters to handle in Babylonia. That is until his teacher, King Maniton of Mannaea, had a vision that Nimrod was going to be killed by a descendant of Japheth and Nimrod’s Babylonian Kingdom would be destroyed and lost forever. Nimrod decided to kill all descendants of Japheth by attacking them one by one. Some descendants of Japheth left their lands and fled, some descendants of Japheth left their lands and joined Hayk. Both Hayk and Nimrod were developing events against one another because for both kings it was a matter of life and death to destroy one another. They thought that their moves would help create favorable positions for the inevitable war. Nimrod with sixty nations strong and Hayk with thirty-six nations strong met to fight their battle at Hayots Dzor (Valley of the Armenians) on the southeastern shores of Lake Van, where their war would decide the future of the world…
