The Universal Negro Catechism was first published and issued by the authority of the High Executive Council of the Universal Negro Improvement Association & African Communities League in 1921. This Universal Negro Catechism here outlines the historical, spiritual, and religious theology that helped to develop this legendary organisation and movement. The catechism outlines the movement's and therefore their expected members worldview, on matters relating and pertaining to the God, faith, and the history of Africa people, as well as their resolve to help themselves based upon this heritage. It also highlights some of the demands of the African race at the time. Every member of the UNIA & ACL was expected to own a copy of this catechism for their personal instruction. Today it is again provided, one hundred years after it was first published, with the same objective that every Negro, Black, African person on earth, should if not own a copy, definately know and be fully aware of its contents. .
