The Life Skills Curriculum was created to encourage students to interact with others from a Biblical perspective. In a manner that is glorifying to God and respectful to people. The Life Skills Curriculum is a 14 week curriculum consisting of lesson plans, specially designed lesson activities, guided practice, life skills goals, end of unit field trips, and other helpful resources. Our hope is that The Life Skills Curriculum can equip students in sharing the love of God to the best of their ability. These lessons are created in a manner that allows them to be short and concise. Allowing students to learn the content quickly and efficiently. This curriculum can be used as a stand alone or paired with The Courage and Confidence Curriculum. Geared towards K-5 grade levels. Excerpt from The Life Skills Curriculum: "Preparing our children and/or students to be lights in this world requires faith in Jesus Christ and a balance of Biblical, academic, and experiential knowledge. If our greatest commandments are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:34-40), then we must show and teach the upcoming generations how to best accomplish those tasks. If we do not best prepare our children for what they will experience in this world and how to handle it, someone or something else will. While many of us gallantly prepare our children spiritually and academically, there are few resources available that help us prepare our children for practical life experiences. This curriculum was created from a Biblical worldview to help prepare our children to be comfortable in varying situations and engage with others to be a light for Jesus Christ." What is in this curriculum: 14 Weeks of Lessons: 3-days each week students will participate in lessons infused with life skills necessary for your student's success. - Biblically Based and Guided: Each lesson is based and guided by scripture. - Scripted Lessons: Each lesson is full of suggested script to help teachers/parents with the particular lesson if so desired. - Life Applicable: Each lesson is designed to be applied to your student's life easily and practically. - End of Lesson Activities: Each lesson is capped by a culminating activity that further emphasizes the lesson's importance and method of applying it to your student's life. - Guided Practice: Each week is summarized by short practice sheets that help emphasize that week's topic of interest. - Weekly Goals: Teachers/Parents are encouraged with weekly goals and notes that help their child succeed in gaining greater life skills that can lead to their present and future success. - Culminating Activities: At the end of the 14-weeks teachers/parents are encouraged to take their student(s) on suggested adventures or activities to summarize what they have learned throughout their lessons and weekly activities.
