Have you ever wondered if the flutist who moves so gracefully through a composition during a concert is happy? What if I told you that offstage, behind the scenes, the musician lives submerged in a sea of depression? Perhaps, we can imagine that what happens in front of the scenes is not the same as what occurs behind those thick burgundy velvet curtains. But it's unlikely that we would think that place could be tinged with drama and the walls stained with blood like in this novel. Behind the scenes speaks of what we show to the world and what we really are. This story seeks to go beyond the obvious and break that facade of perfect, crack-free plaster that we exhibit daily in life, to delve into a well full of darkness and shadows. In this novel, we encounter the Indian doctor Kinari Sapru, the Swiss flutist Antoine Geroux, and the German model Vivianne Reif. These three people from different backgrounds and such different lives converge in San Francisco, California. In this setting, we will see how each one seeks to reverse their reality and tries to understand their desires, their dreams, in order to finally find their happiness.
