This is the second edition of the English translation of Vahan Hambartsumian's "Kiwghashkharh" originally published in Paris, France in 1927 on the Daron Publishing House imprint. This new edition was faithfully translated from Armenian into English by Murad A. Meneshian and focuses on the village of Govdoon (Göydün, Turkey) in the Hafik region and within the Province of Sepastia (Sivas, Turkey) beginning in the early 19th century up until the Armenian Genocide in 1915. The book delves into the historical background and administrative divisions, social, economic, and political history of the region. The treatment of ethnography within the village of Govdoon is especially given in great detail. This edition was published by Pomegranate Music in 2024 in the United States.
