Pleasure and Freedom: Introduction: History

The project of Pleasure and Freedom: Introduction: History is to lay the groundwork for the historical project which will occupy the subsequent books of the series. As a whole I am developing a philosophy of history, for the sake of writing the history of psychology, in order to discuss the history of pleasure and freedom in philosophy, in which we'll develop a phenomenology of both pleasure and freedom, with which we'll construct a social work modality for praxis to alleviate mental health and addictions. This book represents the first leg of that project, the development of a philosophy of history, while tangentially dealing with the relevant philosophers' thoughts on the nature of our capacity to experience time - that is, on the nature of the soul. The various dialectics of Martin Heidegger, G. W. F. Hegel, J. G. Fichte, and Plato are discussed, in that order.
