UNDERBELLY: The Poison Clan (Legends of Section 31)

Pirate attacks along the Federation/Romulan Neutral Zone have become more frequent. But instead of admitting that the Markalians are solely responsible for these attacks, both the Federation and Romulan Empire choose to believe that the other is somehow involved. In response, the Romulans have created an elite team of assassins, led by a decorated commander, whose sole purpose is to track down and destroy anyone who is involve in pirate activity no matter what side of the Neutral Zone they are on, while the Federation chooses to rely on its existing Strike Teams to counter the pirate threat. When the Sector Director requests an additional Strike Team to cover the increased workload, they send the newly promoted Scorpion, Jax Nandi, to assist. Little did he know that he would be leading a team of malcontents who are one screw-up away from having 'extreme measures' taken against them. If this wasn't enough, along comes a Ferengi male named Denev, who has traveled through Federation space for the past seven years unnoticed and has more than one secret he'd like to keep. When all their paths merge, they find out that they have more in common than they would have expected.
