The size of the adapter was made large enough to be secure when using one hand to plug/unplug your headset into it repeatedly, but yet be small and durable enough to be thrown in a backpack and travel with it. Using a standard detachable USB-C cable allows you to replace it if necessary (such as if you require a longer or shorter cable for example, a 6ft cable is included along with a USB-C to USB-A adapter). Mounting can be done with the provided 3M adhesive pad or screws (not included).
