This journal contains a brief explanation of the 54 Day Rosary Novena, basic Rosary prayers, and the daily prayers for the 54 Day Rosary Novena with space each day to re-write the petition of the 54 Day Rosary Novena to keep it in the forefront of your mind while praying. What is the 54 Day Rosary Novena? The 54 Day Rosary Novena consists of a Rosary prayed each day for 54 days. The first 27 days are in petition and the second 27 days are in thanksgiving (whether or not the request has been granted). The 54 Day Rosary Novena prays the Rosary daily. The first day is the Joyful Mysteries, the second day is the Sorrowful Mysteries, the third day is the Glorious Mysteries, and so on. The 54 Day Rosary originated in the late 19th Century, before the institution of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary by Pope Saint John Paul II in 2002. Due to this, the original 54 Day Rosary Novena does not include the Luminous Mysteries. Each day of the 54 Day Rosary Novena, there is traditionally added an opening and closing prayer depending on which set of mysteries is being prayed that day. These prayers will be given throughout the journal. The journal also contains three reflection questions each day with space to write.
