In 1964, when author Nancy Diane King was 16-years-old, the hottest musical group on the planet was the Beatles. As a teenager in North Dakota, Nancy had little hope of ever seeing the group perform in person, until her mother agreed to drive her to any locale if she could secure tickets to a concert. When the plucky teen was able to get tickets to the Beatles performance in Vancouver, British Columbia, the family set out on a trip to the West Coast with an intermittent stop in Seattle, Washington. It was here at the Edgewater Inn, that Nancy met a columnist with the Liverpool Echo who arranged for her to have a private interview with the Beatles and their manager, Brian Epstein. This fortuitous meeting with the Fab Four led to even bigger and better adventures for the teenager involving the British bands who were invading the shores of the United States during the swinging sixties.
