SINGLE ORIGIN - When we first visited Punku Rumi in 2012, we traded 30 alpacas for a container of coffee. Since then, we have visited each year, working with with our producers to increase productivity and the quality of life for local coffee farmers. SEMI-WASHED - This coffee was produced by the Mamahuaca Collective, a group of native farmers in Northern Peru. The coffee is semi-washed and laid to dry on granite mountain stones. With flavor notes of chocolate, whiskey, and maple, Punku Rumi is a balanced and bold staple of the Afficionado portfolio. A CULINARY APPROACH - Our coffees are roasted on a vintage 1955 Gothot roaster. Our roasting techniques are informed by a culinary background, borrowing heavily from the wine and fine dining industries. COFFEE WITH A PURPOSE - Afficionado Coffee Roasters is a purpose-driven coffee brand. We partner with the same farms each year and sponsor community projects to improve the lives of the producers and their communities at origin.
