Jocelyn Wreede faced the kind of difficulties and abuse in her life that would test the strongest of us. However, Jocelyn managed to stop her own downward spiral once she harnessed her faith in God and began to trust that love and devotion could beat despair and hopelessness at every turn. Jocelyn was raised with a belief in God—attending church with her mother and grandparents from a young age—but it wasn’t until she hit rock bottom that she was able to grasp that He had a plan in store for her from the start. Upon emerging from the most despairing time of her life, Jocelyn understood that everything that had happened to her had happened for a reason and that she was meant to help others achieve peace and salvation. Through her conversations with God, she came to understand the very meaning of the message “God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called” that has shown up numerous times throughout her life. It is the reader’s great luck that He called Jocelyn. Her straightforward, no-nonsense, no-holds-barred journey can inspire everyone, regardless of their beliefs. By embracing the hits and misses of her life, Jocelyn acutely deciphers the messages of her messy life. I'm Jocelyn Wreede, I'm a homeschool mom and entrepreneur. I hold several certifications, among them are, Licensed Ohio Minister, ICF Certified Christian Life Coach, Certified Pastoral Counselor, Certified Marriage and Family Counselor, and if you’re reading this hopefully best-selling author. I spent years chasing down dreams and never getting anywhere because I hadn’t done the healing and personal development work to change my mindset and grow. I began digging hard into that about 10 years ago with my amazing former Christian counselor Brenda Sanford of Light the Way Christian Counseling, as well as the nationwide Celebrate Recovery program she introduced to me, that was originally founded at Saddleback church in Lake Forest, CA. That the ever so popular Rick Warren pastored for so many years. The past 5 years I’ve intensely focused on investing in ME by joining coaching groups, going to masterminds, and leveling up in all areas of life. I’ve learned and developed both an abundance and growth mindset. I have core values that are set in stone that nothing gets over, under, or through. I leveled up my relationships as well as set boundaries that are non-negotiable. I don’t tolerate anything negative or toxic in my space and focus solely on the betterment of myself and my family. I live in Ohio on my family century farm that’s been deeded to the women in the family for 5 generations. I live here on the 120-acre farm with my amazing husband Adam of 17 years and our son Gavin who’s 15. We started making maple syrup together as a family in 2019 with just two taps in our backyard that has now grown to over 200 taps in the woods as well as shipping all over the USA. We enjoy sugaring season as a family and enjoy working together to perfect our craft.
