The cord measures .006” (.15mm) in diameter. The 50 yards are wound on a spool that is secured with a clear plastic clip. Keep your thread secure and organized. EASY FINISH: Because this is a super strong material, we recommend using sharp, precise scissors for cutting the string. However, the thread can also be burned instead of snipping. S-lon Fire comes in 4 sizes: 4lb. test with a .005”/.12mm diameter, 6lb. test with a .006”/.15mm diameter, 8lb. test with a .007”/.17mm diameter and 10lb. test with a .008”/.20mm diameter. The spools come in both clear and black and are available in 3 lengths: 15, 50 and 125 yards/13.7, 45.7 and 114.3 meters. For stringing and weaving we suggest English beading needles.
