Applications & Features:
Suitable for processing through-hole internal threads. Spiral point and straight flute design, rapid downward chip removal. Make new female threads or re-thread damaged female threads in stainless steel, ordinary steel, copper, aluminum, iron, alloy steel, hard plastic. Machine taps are used in tapping machines, vertical drilling and milling machines. Micro taps (such as M1-M3.5) process wood and soft metals with lower hardness, mainly used in clocks and watches.

Useful Tips:
Control speed based on material hardness. Feed rate (recommended): ordinary steel (copper aluminium alloy): 6-15m/min; hard steel: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Fast speed and low torque; slow speed and high torque. When tapping plastic, add lubricating coolant. For steel, motor oil is generally used, and vegetable oil is used for high requirements. Use No. 38 motor oil for stainless steel."
