Application: For installation between the Regulator and Hoses The thread specification of flashback arrestor is 9/16-18, B size Note: The acetylene arrestor in this set can also be used for Propane or Mapp gas Check Valve: The one-way valve design allows the flashback arrestor to guarantee that gas can merely flow in one direction instead of back flow to prevent accidents Brass Material: The flashback arrestor is formed by pure copper, which is sturdy and durability. The maximum bearing pressure of oxygen check valve is 20bar/290PSI. The maximum bearing pressure of acetylene check valve is 1.5bar/21PSI

Never connect a torch to acetylene and oxygen tanks without installing a set of flashback arrestors in the hoses at the regulators. 

Without these safety devices, it is possible a flash can occur within the hose, and ultimately follow back into the tanks, causing an explosion. 

This would be an extremely rare occurrence, but flashback arrestors will make it a "never" occurrence. 

Check valves are only a first line of defense and may not ultimately stop a flashback. Only the flashback arrestors will.
