Main Structure and Working Principle:
In three phase four wire system, three phase lines and one neutral wire are connected to the ground with protectors. Under normal conditions, the protector is in the state of high resistance. When the power grid suffers from surge over voltage due to lightning stroke or other reasons, the protector will immediately be turned on within nanoseconds, introducing the voltage over voltage to the ground, thus protecting the electrical equipment on the power grid. When the surge voltage passes through the protector and disappears, the protector will change to a high resistance state again, so as not to affect the normal operation of the power grid.
