This true story is based on Ricardo, a Hispanic boy who suffered a tragic accident in Venezuela that forever changed his life, and confined him to a wheelchair. It speaks of Ricardo’s determination not to allow this circumstance to upend his dreams of playing sports and how attitude and courage can overcome obstacles. The bravest Kid es a story to help children Learn about Disability and Inclusion. Marisel Schweitzer has spent more than 20 years dedicating her life to childrens, as a special education teacher. She has dedicated herself to serving low-income Latin American communities, to whom she develops socio-educational strategies to increase family engagement in children’s education. This is her first children’s book published in English and coming soon in Spanish.
