Moving FORWARD with grief because getting over it is not an option. When Michelle’s son unexpectedly died at the age of 16, she knew that she would grieve him forever. She knew she would never get over his death; at the same time, she did not want her grief to define her. She wanted to learn to grieve in healthy ways, ways that would honor her son and her Father in Heaven, so that she could live well with her grief. Grieving - it’s complicated, it’s lonely, it’s messy, it’s exhausting. It can be caused by the loss of a person, the loss of a job, or the loss of a relationship. It affects each of us differently. Grieving is not a sprint, but rather a journey that requires endurance. Grief attacks both the mind and the body. It hits in unexpected waves and knocks you off your feet. It can make you feel powerless. But, you aren’t. There are things you can do to grieve well, steps you can take to ease the fatigue and strengthen your mind and your heart while you grieve. This Bible study walks you through strategies you can personally put into action to help you live well with grief. The study invites you to dig into God’s word for inspiration, encouragement, and promises to which you can cling as you grieve earthly loss and look forward to the bright promises of a future in Heaven.
