Yubotu (also known as Battleship Puzzle or Battleship Solitaire) is a logic puzzle where you need to determine where a fleet of ships are placed in a grid. In addition to the standard 10x10 grid with a fleet of 10 ships, this book introduces three extra fleet sizes: a fifteen ship fleet in a 12x12 grid, a twenty ship fleet in a 14x14 grid and a twenty five ship fleet in a 16x16 grid. The ships may be placed horizontally or vertically in the grid but no two ships will occupy adjacent grid squares, even diagonally. The digits along the side and below the grid indicate the number of grid squares in the corresponding rows and columns that are occupied by ships. There are three difficulty levels per fleet size, carefully constructed and graded based on the strategies required to solve the puzzle. All puzzles are solvable by logic alone - no guessing required.
