In the process of writing their first independently published book Re-Agency of The Colonized Body , Zainab grew hungry of a mental and creative break, away from theorizing and analyzing everything, even the quality of the water they drink. To be aware is a blessing, to be ignorant is an overrated bliss, but to take a break from a forced reality and dive into all the poetry they were once nurtured by is their grandmothers' revolutionary dream. Even though one didn't get a chance to witness a vision lived, Zainab is a legacy of Iraqi women, love personified. So here are some poems, and none of them are about survival.
