Attract Pollinators - Butterflies, bees and other pollinators love bouquet dill. The large, beautiful umbel flowers provide food for pollinators and the leaves are very tasty for the caterpillars of black swallowtail butterflies. Sow bouquet dill seeds in loamy soil with full sun when soil temperatures have risen to 60-70 degrees F. Thin plants to 12-18 inches apart after approximately 1 month. Water freely during the growing season. Ensure that soil isn’t waterlogged; but also doesn’t dry out. To harvest dill leaves, snip the plant regularly. This delays flowering and improves flavor. Alternatively wait for Bouquet Dill’s beautiful umbel flowers to bloom; and harvest flavorful dill seeds after the pods have dried to brown.
