The Carson family, newcomers to the Hawaiian Islands, have a lot to learn when it comes to blue water fishing in the Pacific. But the wonderful people they meet while staying in Kona on the Big Island make that an enjoyable experience. Hawaii has world class fishing for tuna and marlin, but it also has some world class natural wonders of the treacherous kind. An enraged mother humpback whale, tremendous storms they have no business venturing out in, and the eruption of Mauna Loa, one of the biggest and deadliest volcanoes in the entire Pacific Ocean, bring challenges to this simple family. All they want to do is fish but they get a whole lot more than they bargained for.
