COMPACT - Handle, swivel and rotator part are combined in one handle. Use with your own leashes. HEAVY DUTY – Very strong plastic; with ¼ inch swivel bolt, self-locking nut, washers, all 18-8 Stainless Steel. PREMIUM MATERIAL – Non-toxic HDPE Thermoplastic (hard plastic). Max load 300lbs, e.g. 2 dogs of 150lbs or 3 dogs of 100lbs each. UNTANGLING - Tangle free walking with 2 dogs. Not ideal but usable for occasional use with 3 dogs, then untangle the third leash by flipping the coupler handle. CONTROL - Handler controls the dogs directly with the handle itself so the handler prevents the dogs from jerking each other around. This is a big advantage over traditional 2-way couplers where the swivel in the middle of the leash is far away from the handler's hand. The 2-dog coupler handle is a strong handle for tangle free walking of 2 trained or untrained dogs of any size. The rotator part of the handle spins freely 360 degrees for automatic untangling.It can also be used with 3 dogs, e.g. by 2-dog owners who sometimes need to walk 3 dogs. However adding a third dog will always cause tangles. The third leash is attached to the handle part, away from the rotator part. To untangle one turns/flips the handle in-between the 2 leashes on the rotator part. One flip for each tangle. For an owner of 3 dogs however we recommend using our 3-dog triangular UTurn handle instead. That handle is easier to flip/turn for untangling. The coupler handle may work as good if the third dog (attached to the handle part) does not tangle much.The handle works for ‘leash’ tangles (between dogs/leashes). No system can untangle handler tangles ( wraps around the handler’s legs) or object tangles ( wraps around a tree, post, etc.). ‘Leash’ tangles may amount to 80 Percent of all tangles.When walking 3 dogs ALWAYS untangle often, e.g. as soon as the third leash (attached to the handle part) gets entangled try to keep the leashes untangled; that is the easiest. The leash attachment holes in the rotator part are closed holes for safety reasons.
