The Comte de St. Germain (The Secret of Kings: A Monograph) was written by British Theosophist and author Isabel Cooper-Oakley, and originally published in 1912.The work is the first known biography of the elusive, and legendary spiritual master the Count of St. Germain (also known within Theosophical lore as Master Rákóczi or Master R). St. Germain was known as an adventurer, interested in science, alchemy, and the arts, who gained prominence in European high society in the mid-1700s, and was also known for being able to make auspicious prophecies, transmuting matter, and spontaneously teleporting to distant locations. He was considered by Prince Charles of Hesse-Kassel as "one of the greatest philosophers who ever lived". He went by a multitude of names and titles, often defecting queries by claiming he was 500 years old. Within Theosophy and post-Theosophical teachings, St. Germain is said to be responsible for the New Age culture of the Age of Aquarius, and one of the hidden immortals who is said to manipulate history. The New Age "I AM Activity" of Guy Ballard, and Elizabeth Clare Prophet elevated St. Germain to the status of a demigod.
