Thanks to the adapter, and a special slot at the bottom, it will also fit 15 or 5 mL tubes as well. Contains strong neodymium magnets, which effectively pull magnetic beads from the solution towards a side of a tube. Just insert your 50 mL or 15 mL tube filled with magnetic beads suspension into the separator, and wait for 1-3 minutes. When working with 50 mL tubes, flip the tubes upside down while still keeping them in the rack to achieve best results. Tested before shipping. Great for many applications, for example, purification of a biomolecule that specifically absorbs on the surface of a magnetic bead. Do not heat! At about 80 degrees Celsius magnets will loose their properties!
