There are two designs of clips fitted to DC41, DC43, DC55 and DC65 machines (Dyson tweaked them mid production) but this is the later design, which fits all variants.
However, if your machine has the earlier design, you must swap both parts which requires a certain degree of technical competence and is not an amateur job.
Please note: Although these look similar to release clips on other models, they are NOT. Please do not buy these hoping to fit them on a DC33, DC40, DC50 etc., as they will not fit.
