The ceramic blade sets (Item 870912) incorporate a steel bottom blade and ceramic top blade. Blade sets with a ceramic upper blade hold their edge much longer, but very few places can sharpen a ceramic blade after it is dull. The Small (Item 870910) and Small Wide (Item 870911) blade sets are steel and may be sharpened. Our Eagle blades will fit any clipper that uses detachable A5 type blades - including Andis, Oster and Wahl.
