The pieces have a clear background printed with colored chess pieces. The clear background makes it easy to see through to the square behind the pieces, giving the audience a better and more realistic chess board feel. The pieces are designed to slide into clear pockets over each square on the board which holds them in place. Two wooden dowels give the board support at top and bottom, while a strong cord allows the chessboard board to be hung from any hook or a tripod. The set features all 32 pieces and some red stars for teaching.
