Pie Irons are designed for use over an open fire and are ideal for campfires, fire pits, barbecue grills, camping stoves, and chimineas. Not recommended for indoor stovetop use.

Pie Irons are a fun and creative way to make toasted sandwiches and pies over a fire. Simply take two pieces of buttered bread, place them in the cast iron cooking cavity, and fill them with your favorite ingredients. Close up the iron and toast over the fire for 3 - 5 minutes. Some of the most popular fillings include fruit pies (apple, cherry, etc.), cheeses, sliced deli meats, pizza pudgy pies, and chocolate. You are only limited by your imagination.

Rome calls them Pie Irons because the edge of the iron crimps down on the bread, creating a sealed edge similar to a hand pie, fried pie, calzone, or empanada.

Both pie irons are 28” long, with the cast iron measuring 4.25" x 4.5" for the square and 4” in diameter for the round. The rods are made from sturdy steel with a quality turned wood handle.

Rome Pie Irons and cast iron cookware do not come pre-seasoned and need to be seasoned prior to use. Instructions are provided with every pie iron.
