"Parts of" the Leaf 3-Part Cards

Children love to know the names of everything they see, including the parts of the whole. These standard Montessori teaching materials (in the 3-6 and 6-12 classrooms) present external anatomy in a powerful way: by isolating each key part in full color while the rest of the botanical specimen is shown in muted shades of gray. Leaves are ubiquitous in the child's outdoor and indoor experience. This example from a river birch will captivate the budding botanist by showing the leaf and its blade, margin, apex, base, primary vein, secondary veins, petiole, auxiliary bud, and stem. 10 control cards, 10 matching picture cards, and 10 word cards; 30 cards total.
