The built-in cleaning agents help prevent metal chips from bonding to the surface and clogging the stone. If your stone becomes clogged it will prevent proper sharpening. VERSATILE USE – Smith’s Honing Solution is non-petroleum-based so it can be used on all sharpening stones. It is excellent for lubricating your Arkansas or Diamond Stone.
